Cycling

This cycle path is 415 kilometers long and connects the cities of Grado and Salzburg. It can be traveled in both directions. In Italy it is called “FVG 1” while in Austria it is “R2.” The cycle path took the place of the old railway of which many details can still be seen, especially the tunnels, stations and some tracks. Along the cycle route some of the stations have become bars/restaurants, creating important refreshment points for cyclists. The cycle path was inaugurated in 2011.
