For this hike, we combined the E5 hike at the Echternach lake with a visit to the town itself. A walk around the lake is very pleasant. The climb that followed was strenuous, but offered a beautiful view of the town. Echternach is an interesting town to visit, with the Basilica and the Abbey, among other things.
