The drinking water dam and its banks are protected by law. Therefore, there are hardly any negative effects on nature. Almost the entire hike is off-road. You feel very much for yourself. Pleasant!

At Großfrenkhausen, the trail definitely doesn't go any further past the horse fence. The route should be changed here.

Today we went on a tour around the Grosse Dhünntalsperre through the Rheinisch-Bergischer Kreis with Peter. A water protection zone has been set up around the lake and you can't get really close to the water. You could only see it in a few places, only the dams of the two large pre-dams and the main dam are freely accessible. …

Today, after a long break, I finally went out on my mountain bike again and cycled around the Dhünn Dam.
It was beautiful, but also quite strenuous.

A very nice round. Some of the climbs are really tough for organic bikers (i.e. those who still pedal like me), but the paths are great and almost no asphalt!
There is even a small downhill track. But it requires more driving skills than I have (at the moment)... ;)

Et eat jrün, jrün, jrün, all around Dhünn.
Wonderful tour this Thursday with the best weather and encounters with a maximum of 10 walkers and 2 bikers.
And that over 50 km.
The clear-cutting was limited, a lot of deciduous forest / mixed forest.
It feels like Rapcon has been downhill very often. Overall very varied route.
The last trail …

Super nice tour. Everything included. Flowy single trails, crisp climbs, rocky descents.
Dreamy backdrops.
(the altitude is questionable. Other recording 1031 hm🤷‍♂️)

This year,
Friday instead of Thursday
the great tour around the dam was on the program again. 😁
Many many forest paths, fast descents, short crisp uphills.🥰
Rapcon and Scott had great weather and they think
it is absolutely recommendable to do the tour for even warmer times,
because very, very many forest paths that are shady and pleasant to …
