Today we continued down the Etsch in perfect cycling weather. We disdainfully ignored Lake Garda - at least for today. Why ride through unlit, busy tunnels when there is a good cycle path behind the mountain?
So we followed the Etsch until the mountains became less frequent.

Today we continued in beautiful weather, including the biggest climb of the entire tour to Lazise on Lake Garda, where we arrived in time to explore the town on foot and go swimming in the lake 🙂

September 6, 2024,Bussolengo - Trento
Today I started in Bussolengo in the rain, cycled along the Bifis canal towards Trento. After about 15km the path turned over the canal. The canal runs through the mountain. The path leads up with several bends and then down to Rivoli Verenese. The cycle path continued on the right side of the river through vineyards towards Rivalta. After a …

First of all, I have to state that cycling is actually booming. It's truly incredible how many cycle tourists I encountered today. Probably all people who want to go to Lake Garda or even further.
Back to my tour today. To put it in a nutshell, in no way suitable for families with children.
The cycle path itself is great. …

After the weather forecast for today, I'm really happy that we were able to ride our final stage in usable conditions. As an emergency plan, we had already selected train connections that could take us to Rovereto. From there, the train (with parking space reserved for our bikes) will take us back to Munich tomorrow, where our bike tour began …

With just a few kilometers, I took my time and really enjoyed the ride. But today, there were some tough climbs again, with gradients of 15, 18, …

September 11, 2024,Valdadige fino a Rovereto
I left at lunchtime with the idea of a quick trip to Valdadige, with destination Ala and then turn around and go home from the Rivoli cycle path... in short, a classic. On the bridge before Ala I thought that going back in the shade (and against the wind) would have been a shame given the still pleasant climate and …

We start from Arcè as if we were the real ones, heading to Capo Nord with everything needed for a month's survival! In reality, we only need our IBAN and a few other things, but even after trimming clothes and accessories, the volume and weight are there. I decide to load Patrizia's E-bike, 😎
She will be the real engine …
