The part of the Eurovelo 8 cycle path that connects Moncalieri to Turin along the Po river can be busy as you enter the city. There is a "high" dirt cycle path, and a "low" asphalted one to divide the flows of pedestrians and cyclists.

Mole Antonelliana

Highlight • Monument

Originally it was the tallest building in the world and intended as a Jewish synagogue. A storm destroyed the spire at the time. After construction, it was made accessible to the public. Today it houses the Museo del Cinema.
Construction started in 1863.
Historical interpretation:
Originally it was intended as a synagogue, but the relationship between Antonelli and the Jewish community was not good. Antonelli immediately began a series of changes to the original design, including increasing the height from 47 meters to 113 meters. These changes would cost a longer construction time and more money, the Jewish community did not like this and construction was stopped in 1869. In 1873 the synagogue was built further, because it would now be in honor of Victor Emmanuel II. Ultimately, the building grew to 167 meters (548 feet).

Today the building houses the Museo del Cinema. The building was also the logo of the 2006 Winter Olympics, as it was the official logo of the 2005 World Bocce Championships and the 2006 World Fencing Championships.
