Today's round is a short walk through the Paterzeller Eibenwald (nature reserve) on the Eibenpfad including the west bank of the Zellsee (bird sanctuary). The weather today was sunny and warm.

The start and end point is the Eibenwald Wanderparklatz on the WM29 district road between Paterzell and Wessobrunn. It is clearly signposted!

We started the hike at the free trail parking lot. Well signposted, we walked the yew path to Zellsee. The paths were easy to walk on, sometimes a bit muddy. We passed the Gasthof Eibenwald, which is closed on Mondays. From there it went back to the yew path and back to the parking lot. The tour is very easy.

A weekend in the Pfaffenwinkel region, we stayed at the Eibenwald country inn in Wessobrunn-Paterzell. We visited the Herrsching am Ammersee lakeside promenade, a Weißwurst meal, and 🍺 the Andechs Monastery, the Romanesque basilica in Altenstadt, the Schongau old town/city wall, the Eibenwald forest in Paterzell, the Hoher Peißenberg 🔭, and Linderhof Palace. It was lovely 🤩, but also 🥵
