It is along stone paths like this that the GR 221 is known as the Ruta de Pedra de Sec, a typical construction of the rural paths of Mallorca that run between olive, lemon and almond trees.

Beautiful shady hiking trail along the GR221 (dry stone wall trail) through old holm oaks and pine forests.
In between we had great views of the coast and Banyalbufar.
The weather was great. Sun and clouds alternating..... perfect 🤩

Beautiful path with very different surfaces and well frequented.

When we arrived in Esporles, we first strolled through the market and since I got lost in planning, we are now stuck here because the hostel unfortunately won't let us cancel.

Tomorrow we have a few more meters to walk again.

Simple to moderate hike, mostly forest so not a lot of viewpoints.
We recommend rather going to Port de Canonge and then to Esporles. This hike is a bit longer and a bit more difficult but much nicer.
Very nice hike. Only recorded the way back. So note double km and time. I don't know where to put that it's the one way route. Good shoes are important as the stone path is strenuous.

Wir wandern weiter entlang des ehemaligen Postweges (Camí des Correu) und durch Steineichenwälder bis in das …
Stage 3B of the GR 221 runs from Banyalbufar to Esporles and offers a varied walk through some of Mallorca's most beautiful scenery. Combining spectacular coastal views with the rugged beauty of the mountains, this route is a particular highlight of the dry stone wall path.

We hiked stages 4 and 5 one after the other on the same day.
