Quellenhof Covered Bridge

Highlight • Bridge

Between Sorgente and Saltusio, this wooden bridge is a great way to cross the Passirio stream by bike or on foot. Easily, looking towards the river, you might notice people canoeing down it.

Did another round in South Tyrol on the last day. You only need to cross the Timmelsjoch, you're there and have 10° more. It was 33° and quite humid. But nice round. I would not take the E5 hiking trail again here.....

Recommended tour for cyclists who want to reach altitude quickly and also use the lift (Hirzer)🚠. Ascent with 2 people and two wheels not cheap (28.00 euros). view makes up for it. There are several options from the middle station. The descent to Schenna offers great views, a stop at Gasthof Mösl in Meran is always a pleasure!

This morning I took it easy and got the bike ready for use. Then I started a small round in the direction of Torgglerhof in the Passeier Valley. Actually, I only wanted to test food and 2 beers there, which were denied to me in spring... :-))

The route climbs steadily along quiet side roads to the highest point, the Hirzer mid-station.
The private castle in Schenna, built in 1350, can only be entered during a guided tour. The mausoleum of Archduke Johann is only open twice a week.
For the more than 1,100 meters of elevation gain, you'll need stamina or a full battery 😉

Today I got back on my bike because hiking is no longer an option...

Biking strangely enough but quite well. Other parts of the knee will probably be strained!

I used the end of my vacation to cycle through the wonderful Passeier Valley, have lunch at the Apfelhof and stop for coffee at the Radlstadl... :-))

From Schenna, from Schlosswirt downhill. But at the bottom of the Passer, the section is currently blocked!!!! 06/22/23
Either walk 2 km along the Waal or just over Meran. Everything is free there

Actually, Moos im P. was supposed to be the destination, but unfortunately we weren't allowed to use the forest path in the Passer Gorge - it was also very muddy - so St. Leonhard im P. was the destination. Good for a stop 😉😋. The dream: to cycle downhill with the wild water of the Passer!
