On the other side of the river (left bank of the Moselle) there is a path that leads directly to the lock chamber. From here you can watch the lock process from the entrance to the exit.

The Moselle is very easy to experience by bike. However, the signage on the Moselle cycle path sometimes leaves something to be desired ☹

The route today from Ediger-Eller to Traben-Trarbach, on the left side of the Moselle (looking in the direction of flow) was really beautiful to cycle, and more than once I thought to myself: Now I finally understand why SO many people keep coming here to the Moselle! It's SO beautiful here! 😍 On my last Moselle tour I made the …

From Bullay, follow the signposted cycle path along the Moselle loop on the left to Reill and then to Traben and Trabach. On the right side of the Moselle via Zell and Püderich back to Bullay.

In order not to miss any highlights in the surrounding area, we first went over the double-decker bridge to Zell and up the climb to the Powder Tower. There was a fantastic view of the town with the Moselle in the background.
Then the next destination - the bridge in Traben-Trabach. We finally wanted to do our last tour on …

Cycling without end 😉 A dream tour along the Moselle. We stopped often to take in the scenery, hence the low average, but more importantly, it was fun 😉 and when the weather cooperates like today 🌞, everything is perfect 👍🏼
Conclusion: We'd love to do it again!

Today we went on a bike tour from Bullay to Traben-Trarbach and back. The weather was good until the return trip to Zell. Here we had a short break in a wine shop. After the break from the rain we continued on to Bullay.

It is the first weekend in October again and our Moselle tour continues.

The weather was not quite as nice as last year but with the right clothing you can even put up with the short showers with a smile.

The little highlights, such as the Straußenwirtschaften in Reil and Zell, make up for a lot.

Beautiful tour along the Moselle and through the vineyards. The tour starts at the camper place in Traben-Trarbach in the direction of Zell to Bullay. From there, the Moselle Wine Railway takes you back to Traben-Trarbach. All of the cities mentioned invite you to take a short break.
