First highlight on the tour: A large ship was just entering the sea lock. We didn't need to cross, but we drove up to watch anyway. You don't get to see that on every tour. 😎

durchs Jammertal zum Mittagssnack bei Dat Hofcafé Mors 🌭 und zu Dat rood Eierhuske🍦naschen 🚴♀️🚴
Das Jammertal ist ein idyllisches Moorgebiet zwischen Rhauderfehn und Ostrhauderfehn. Östlich der Jammertalstraße grenzt es direkt an die Esterweger Dose, ein 5.000 Hektar großes Hochmoor. Hier steht auch die Marinefunksendestelle.

Finally - 💦 and 💨 are over. Nothing is holding us at home anymore. 😍
To get used to it again, we took a short round for us along the Küstenkanal, past the peat extraction area and further towards Jammertal, our favorite route. Somehow we had to earn our treats 😋. 😉😂

The temperatures dropped to a pleasant 22 degrees last night and it was only supposed to reach a maximum of 25 degrees today. Thus, nothing stood in the way of our tour. We didn't go out in the high temperatures of the last few days - we didn't have to put ourselves through that. 🥵

Today we went out again in optimal cycling weather. A shower was predicted around 1 PM, but what the heck. We were actually even ahead of time. After only 18 km, it really poured down around 10:30 AM. Fortunately, we were able to take shelter in time, because who takes rain gear along in summer weather

drei Flüsse, viele Kanäle und Burg Stickhausen 🚴♀️🚴
Die Ems zum Start, die Leda und Jümme dann als häufige Begleiter ... und natürlich wieder jede Menge herrliche Natur. 🥰
Zur Info: Das Leda-Sperrwerk ist noch voraussichtlich bis Ende September wegen Arbeiten gesperrt. 🙈 Zur Zeit bleibt als Option wohl nur die Eisenbahnbrücke, um über die Leda zu kommen.

In beautiful cycling weather, we set off again today for Stickhausen Castle. Unfortunately, it seems you can only go inside at certain times, but some photos from the outside are always possible. The 🌞 shone from the blue sky this morning at 14 degrees, it was supposed to reach 17 degrees with only 10 km/h wind - best conditions for our planned round. So a light jacket and, just in case, long sleeves underneath to start with and off we went. 😉

Die Wegbeschaffenheit war zum Teil eine große Herausforderung. Sehr weiche Wald- und Wiesenwege, grobe Schotterpisten und feiner Sand machten es nicht immer leicht, auf dem Rad zu bleiben. Und heftiger Gegenwind war ein fast ständiger Begleiter. 🌬🙈
