Oldies on Tour

Curiosity got us out. Yesterday, we saw loads of tents in the market square and decided to find out when they were being set up. 🤔

Oh, right – there's a lot of carnival going on here too. Today was the big parade with 60 floats, 13 walking groups, and a total of about 1,700 revelers. 10,000 spectators

We enjoyed the canal path so much that we hiked it again to finish off our trip, albeit with a slightly different route. 😍 Since it had snowed quite a bit more in the meantime, and there was a fierce storm today (at minus two degrees Celsius with constant winds around 35 km/h and gusts up to 50 km/h

Today we took it easy and just went for it.



There was fresh snow again last night, and we haven't left our tracks yet. That's just not on! 🤭🤣 After a stroll through Duhnen, we bundled up against the wind and headed to the beach. We had another delicious lunch at Dune 2 and then headed back, refreshed

Since we were already in the area, we naturally wanted to visit Cuxhaven to see the water tower, the Hermine statue, and explore the town. However, Cuxhaven wasn't anything special for us. With an icy wind, which of course was mostly blowing in our face, we hiked past small canals, across fields, and through wooded areas today.



It was pure nature. There was something to discover everywhere.
