We follow the E9 along the East Frisian Hiking Trail, with constant reminders of the narrow-gauge railway, until we reach our destination, Leer. With its harbor and old town, Leer is a worthy final stop before we hike the final stretch to the Dutch border, where the E9 leaves Germany on the western side.
