September 4, 2024,WILDPARK EDERSEE 🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺UND RUNDHERUM

Since I've been working a lot again, I haven't been able to go hiking, nor do I have time to edit my pictures like I used to and make a video out of them.
But I'm gradually catching up...
Now I've had 14 days of vacation and, as you can see here, I spent a few days in my beloved …

April 23, 2022,Vom Wildtierpark Edersee zur Ederseetalsperre

The starting point today was the wildlife park 🦬🦌 above the Edersee. A really great wildlife park with a sensational falconry show. There are some great viewpoints up here over the Edertalsperre and Waldeck Castle 🏰. After the round in the zoo, we continued on Eddi's adventure tour down to the Edersee and from there on the hiking trail towards …

The first destination today was the wildlife park. It was supposed to be a quick thing - that's how it is with a plan 🤣. It far exceeded my expectations 👌. The bird of prey show in particular was really great 👍. The time flew by. Afterwards we went on the "Tree Top Walk" (why such terms?😖) An interestingly designed …

We are in Bad Wildungen for three days to visit the Kellerwald Edersee National Park. Like the Hainich, it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and we are curious to see what it looks like here. On the day of arrival it is raining and we start with the Edersee dam, where electricity is generated for the region by constantly …

August 12, 2026,Edertalsperre – Blick auf die Staumauer des Edersees am 12.8.

It's very hot again today, so we went for a leisurely walk around the Edersee.
The Edersee also has a very low fill level and the blue-green algae have spread. A shame!
The plan was for me to go into the water, and Ayko might follow me and thus enjoy swimming.
On the way back to the holiday home, we …

Small warm-up lap over Edertalsperre. Today is the onset of winter again. But it was really great for hiking. Unfortunately, almost all snack bars and cafes are still closed. Luckily there are a few in Waldeck.

August 22, 2025,Zur Hammerbergspitze und etwas weiter

Last round today at the Edersee, so we head out to the Hammersteinfelsen 🪨 and a bit further since the water is so low. It's shocking how the water level has dropped over the years 😧. From the Hammersteinfelsen, you have a beautiful view of the castle and a fantastic panoramic view of the lake 🥰 It's nice to have …
