After a penultimate tour in November, we now had our first tentative attempt at a 2025 bike tour.

Despite a well-chosen route, we were surprised by muddy paths – once even to the point where the bikes came to a standstill. It was in Kleinromstedt.

Actually a nice round, if it hadn't been for the unannounced heavy rain showers. 🙁. We were lucky in Denstedt in the great Mühlencafe directly on the Ilm. Homemade delicious 🍰 from the self-made flour. Highly recommended 👍😋.

After my ride to the Eberstedt oil mill three days ago, today's traditional route took me to Kromsdorf Castle ♥️ and Kapellendorf Water Castle ♥️. On the way there, I discovered that the puncture gremlins had secretly struck 😉. The front tire had taken the bait; it was completely flat, like a pancake 😕. Of course, my spare inner tube …

My darling💃 was of the opinion that her dearest backside (her own, not me) needed a few more kilometers to roll in or get into the seat😉, even though neither the saddle nor the backside had changed much in the last few weeks🙂. So we chose the route to Kromsdorf again, but this time in a clockwise direction. Not a …

Well rested from the very interesting holiday off the west coast of Africa, today was finally the start of the cycling season. Traditionally, the first tour always goes to the castle 🏰 Kromsdorf and then to the moated castle Kapellendorf. With glorious sunshine🌞 and plenty of provisions for the hike🥖🍾, it was a leisurely tour🙂.

We also opted for a short run based on the weather forecast 😉. For the first half, we had to battle the fierce 🌪️🌪️🌪️ 😡, but for the second half, we were pushed hard forward 😃. By the end, it had cooled down quite a bit ☹️, but it stayed dry 😏.

From Kapellendorf the route goes about 1.5-2 km through rough terrain. They think we're wrong here. But then there is a road surface again. The tour fits!
