Yesterday it was that time again: the 2025 ADAC Hanover Marathon. I registered for the half marathon distance and – more or less – prepared for it.

Unfortunately, my training was shortened to six weeks, and due to my – nonexistent – level of training, I often struggled with pain and sore muscles.

ADAC Marathon Hannover 2023 – half marathon

This was my second event half marathon.

The route leads beautifully through Hanover and starts and finishes in front of the town hall.

I completed the half marathon in 2:17:03 because I had problems with my calves after about 17 km. Maybe the training beforehand wasn't enough.
