Frisiamühle Windmill

There were once 14 windmills in the Norden area; three of them have been restored, and another still survives as a stump. They are prominent landmarks of the city.

From the pedestrian zone, I saw a mill and walked towards it to take a picture...

Then I thought there must have been something in ten Dates cake and I was seeing double.

The Deichmühle and the Frisia-Mühle are so close together, it's quite astonishing.

Both mills (twin mills) are nearly 30 meters high, four-story smock mills. The Frisia-Mühle dates from 1864, the Deichmühle was built in 1900.

On our drive from Leybucht, we also passed the Westgaster Mühle.
