I give this trail 10 out of 5 stars. You definitely need to be sure-footed and have good stamina. It's a 250-meter climb, but it's a tough one. The descent from the Gamskogel is also quite challenging. Hiking poles are recommended.

The last day in Tyrol was always a highlight for us ... We went up with the Kaiser lift from Kufstein to the Brentenjoch. From there, a wonderful circular path runs over hill and dale, over roots and alpine pastures, first to the Gamskogel, then to a small village. You'd think that Heidi and Alm-Uncle live here ... Spinach dumplings …
