Wonderful for children to play and to organize small races with little boats. Also interesting is the attached mining trail.

Here, the water from the Greifenbach, which flows from the Greifenbach reservoir, is diverted into the artificially created Röhrgraben.

Greifenbach Valley

Highlight • Gorge

A very nice shady valley. The path leads along the stream and is also suitable for bicycles. Along the way there are always information boards and one or the other attraction to the mining history of the valley.

October 1, 2023,Röhrgrabenweg – Waldgeisterweg von Geyer
Very nice hiking tour, even with children. It's quite busy at the weekend, but you don't walk in single file yet. There are plenty of options for a snack along the route, with a large selection at the Greifenbachstauweiher. There are also some playgrounds to visit along the way. So at the reservoir and at the Greifensteins.

A very nice tour, in fact all paths in the forest. It is also doable with older children.

What a beautiful tour! Varied, lots to discover, and very exciting for the little ones!

Took advantage of the last day off and went out in the Greifenstein area again in the most beautiful winter weather. Along the Röhrgraben to the Waldgeisterweg 👻, up to the Greifensteine, further to the pond and back past the Erik Frenzel Schanzen. Mulled wine 🍵 and a few leftover gingerbreads were there for refreshments 😜
By the way, the …

It was supposed to be an early spring tour, but thanks to light snowfall overnight, it was more of a winter tour. The forest wasn't covered in deep snow, but at least it was white. There's not much to say about the Greifenstein area, 1000 paths, each one more beautiful than the last, and even today at the beginning of …

Today we went again to the Greifensteine via the Röhrgrabenweg in the best weather.

December 5, 2021,Vorfreude die 2.
A wonderful round in weather, nicer than reported, the crunch of snow under your boots and a well-tended forest. The forest ghost trail with the bird feeders and the mailbox for Santa Claus, including the gift tree ... thanks to the hardworking people who provide these surprises ...
A beautiful piece of nature.

So now a short note on the short hike, after the forest spirits really irritated me and accordingly I got lost, I started the tour again and on the second attempt it worked out fine.
I can only recommend this tour to others. Especially now in autumn everything looks so wonderfully colorful, especially when the sun is shining. The route …
