This section to the mouth of the Frankensaale into the Main leads very pleasantly through meadows of the Saale valley or past the edge and offers wonderful views of the landscape of the southern Rhön. The river is close, sometimes very close. Great cycle path that is really enjoyable and was really fun in the fantastic sunshine! Hallelujah!

On the second day of our wellness holiday, made a detour through the beautiful Saale valley down to Gemünden am Main. The weather was fine and the excellent ice cream on the market square in Gemünden was, apart from the other sights, worth the detour 😋😊.

Comfortable tour from the Gemünden school center along the Saale to Morlesau - enjoyed a little refreshment there in the cozy beer garden 🥤🍻 before heading back towards Gemünden. In Wolfsmünster we then visited the fire brigade festival 🚒 in the castle garden there 🏰 and made a small detour to the Franciscan monastery there ⛪️ in Schönau.
