I was inspired to do this round by @Claudia KemPino, whose tour made me curious about the area.

It started at the Scheden grill hut.

From there I mainly followed the spring path.

The first stop was at the altar stones, a Stone Age cult site.

In the most beautiful Easter weather, we took the circular route to Hohen Hagen from the Roth hiking guide for southern Lower Saxony. I started in Scheden.
The Hohe Hagen is a very striking elevation in southern Eichsfeld. It is a former volcano.
