Tips

  • Gabi

The first documented mining of basalt rock on the Hohe Hagen took place around 1825. It ended in the mid-1970s. In 1989, the filling and stabilization of the pits and slopes began with the overburden of the ICE route Göttingen-Würzburg near Jühnde. The area was recultivated.
