This is a great river walk. Knee deep water at times and lots of boulders and small waterfalls to chamber over but beautiful scenery and several places for a cool down swim. We started ours at a holiday villa above Nerja but you can park in the river valley and start from there. Set off early, wear decent walking trainers …

A unique experience 😍 walking 3 hours in a cool, clear mountain stream through gorges ankle to knee deep. bathe in tubs and use the waterfall as the most pristine shower. We wore Keen sandals which seemed perfect to us. However, most walked with light hiking shoes.
