Today's hike brought us to the wonderful alpine area of Jungen. Stunning views on some of the 4000 m peaks of the Matter valley and Saas valley. We were even fortunate enough to encounter a herd of Ibex and a Black nose sheep :) Another amazing day out in our beloved Alps!

Yesterday we arrived in the Matter valley, only to find out that the entire valley was closed off due to heavy rains, rock slides and flooding of the Vispa river. Towards the evenening things finally started to calm down again, so we could reach our little authentic barn-style cottage in St Niklaus. Luckily there was not too much damage, however …
