Adige River Cycle Path

Highlight • Cycleway

The Etsch cycle path is around 300 kilometers long and a great opportunity to cycle through the Alps without many inclines. Past castles, idyllic towns and cozy wine villages - this path is to enjoy. This section is separated from the traffic and well paved, so perfect for the road bike.

Today on the 3rd day in South Tyrol we did a bigger tour, we took the train from Merano to Mals 🚆 from there towards Vinschgau very nice 🙂
..... that was today the first cycle path with speed limit ..... Tempo 30 .... partly 20% gradient .....

Today, for the fourth time, we rode the fantastic bike path from Graun to Algund. With wonderful weather, we thoroughly enjoyed this route again. A definite recommendation for all vacationers in this region. A bike shuttle will take you from the Merano region up to the starting point in Graun am Reschensee for a small fee.

We rode this cycle path for the third time today. For us, it is the best cycle path in the world 🤣
Very well signposted, lots of rest stops and great views the whole way.
The asphalt has been renewed in some sections, as has the railing.
This path is a must for all cyclists in the region. Good brakes …

Today we cycled the Etschtal Cycle Path from Graun to Algund for the fourth time. This cycle path is simply breathtakingly beautiful 🤩
The route is almost entirely downhill, with plenty of places to stop for refreshments and rest stops. The weather was perfect. Up in Graun, it was still 15 degrees Celsius, but after an hour of riding, we …

A very nice tour, unfortunately it kept raining.
Rain ☔️ and wind from the front, but it was still a lot of fun 🚴‍♀️😉

Showing Translation

It's all downhill
You need good brakes
Our discs were already fogged up
But the road above Schlanders is very beautiful

Showing Translation

Anyone traveling to Meran should definitely take the Reschenpass, Meran exit. From Meran with the Schuttel iris bus for 1 person and your own bike for currently 20 euros (2022)
