After an early start at 4:00, we first climbed over Pico Joaquin, where we could see a wonderful sunrise, to Pico Turquino, the highest mountain in Cuba. The mostly very steep descent then took place over Pico Cuba. Luckily, it was mostly through shady, beautiful forest.
