Nice destination with Elbe ferry. No problem with a 9 euro ticket and S1 from Dresden 🙃

June 4, 2023,Rundweg ⛰️ Rathen - Nordaufstieg – Lilienstein - Südabstieg - Waltersdorf- Gamrigaussicht - Rathen 🥾
From the Oberrathen ferry station, we first took the ferry to Rathen and along a forest path parallel to the Elbe. Then the north ascent to the Lilienstein was tackled.
Once at the top, you can easily hike around the summit on a circular route.
A historical obelisk catches the eye.
A gastronomy welcomes the guests.
A few steps further …

After the Schneeberg stage, we went back to Rathen and took the ferry to the right bank of the Elbe and up to Lilienstein. During the ascent, the promised thunderstorm and rain found us, so we first took shelter under rocks and later in the restaurant. A warm potato soup was good, and because we finished eating, the sun came …

Today we went to Saxon Switzerland - for constant ups and downs of stairs 🙂.

Starting at the WP Gamrig near Waltersdorf, we went past the climbing rocks ↘️ to the Amselsee, continued through the Amselgrund and then left into the long stair climb ↗️ to and through the Höllenlöcher. Once at the top, we continued to the Bastei - …

Today we decided to visit the Lilienstein due to the (announced) nice weather. After warming up to there 😁, the climb was a challenge. At the top we would be rewarded with a beautiful view and a picnic. The restaurant on the Lilienstein was open and was well attended. The descent and the subsequent hike to Rathen was relaxed. We …

I wish you all a happy, healthy New Year 🍀 2025 🥳

Today we took advantage of the beautiful Sunday weather to take a nice walk around the Gamrig. The sky was a bit hazy, but the sunset from the Gamrig was all the more beautiful. ...and again I'm annoyed that I only have my cell phone to take photos with.

Showing Translation

It's really hot and the gamrig is so sunny - in March we thought it was great😎.

Showing Translation

The tour starts over a public green area on Waltersdorfer Berg in Rathen and is therefore difficult to see at first glance.
