Lilienstein - Obelisk und Aussicht

From here you have a wonderful view Elbaufwärts over Bad Schandau and the Schrammsteinen.
In very good visibility you can see the Zirkelstein, Kaiserkrone and in Bohemian Switzerland even the Schneekuppe.

Impressive obelisk with even more impressive scenery and views of Königstein and the Elbe. If you want to stop, you can do that in the small restaurant on the Lilienstein.

From this table mountain you have many beautiful views, on the Elbe, on the opposite fortress Koenigstein, on the Pfaffenstein, the Gohrisch or to Dresden and the Czech Republic.
Recommended is the south and the north descent.

Upstairs, a mountain inn is available to strengthen.

Easy to reach from Dresden by S-Bahn towards Schmilka; Get off at Königstein station and translate by ferry; steep but absolutely rewarding climb. The lily stone is a "wet stone", i.e. Restaurant from Easter to the end of the season 🍻 ... and one of THE landmarks in the Elbe Sandstone Mountains.

As everywhere in Saxon Switzerland, a great view and the nature there is excellent. There are also countless wild berries there in summer, which are a good snack for on the go.

The ascent to the Lilienstein is definitely worth it. No matter if good or bad weather. :) We went up the Nordsteig - but rather recommend the Südsteig, as this is easier. A trip to the restaurant on top of the Lilienstein is worth 100%. Very nice staff and the food is great too. Hard to believe that the staff in winter all drinks etc. alone - on foot - high. My respect! :)

A really nice view of the Elbe and the surrounding, flat landscape. The view goes very far.
Also very nice at sunrise, there is not much going on and you can enjoy the peace and quiet and the view.

The Lilienstein is worth the trip. The view is gigantic and in good weather you can see other highlights of the Elbe Sandstone Mountains such as B. the fortress Königstein, the Pfaffenstein, Bad Schandau with its Schrammsteinen and the place Rathen, discover.

Incredible view worth every effort

As everywhere in Saxon Switzerland, great prospects. The forest there with the many small paths is a great discovery playground for children. And the numerous forest berries are also very tasty.

The Lilienstein is always a must.

The Lilienstein is the only table mountain on the right Elbe.
