Black Harry Lane

Highlight • Trail

As a downhill towards Eyam it's very fast & loose down past the Quarry and a steep gravel drop to the Main Road.

Bridleway with Dry Stone Walls

Highlight (Segment) • Trail

There's a little bit of slop in winter but it's still quite rideable all year long

View of Calver

Highlight • Viewpoint

Great spot high above Calver with views for miles on a clear day

Super fast downhill section. Gravel track with only one slightly tricky double bend halfway down, just after the flatter part of the track.

Single track starting from the road in Hassop, relatively flat with gravel for the first section before turning into a bit of a rock garden with drop offs as it drops down to the stream. The path does Ford the stream but was deep enough to wet my shoes even after a few weeks of dry weather, there is a little bridge alternative

Manners Wood Bridleway

Highlight (Segment) • Trail

Great as a descent from the top of Chatsworth Estate, part of the classic Bakewell Slice MTB loop.

Congratulations! You've just reached the end of the wonderful Monsal Trail. Or perhaps you're at the start? Either way, it's a great place to be.

A former railway line, the compacted gravel trail runs for 8.5 miles (13.7 km) between Blackwell Mill, in Chee Dale and Coombs Road, in Bakewell.

Little amble round with Chris.
Loved it. Cracking route and lovely area to ride. Some nasty little climbs but quite a few awesome fast descents. Will def be back to explore the area more.
Not sure what’s happened to my Garmin Edge. According to OS it should be at least double the 450m elevation gain that my Garmin is reporting. …
A beaut of a day to be out riding. Super hot. 👌🏻
Lovely guided ride showing Geoff some of the trails of the White Peak.
I’m now sporting some lovely sliced up arms and legs thanks to some slightly overgrown sections of trail! 🙄😂

Pre-riding a planned route for a regular client next week. Remembered most of it, but lots of overgrown trails so it’s either going to be a slight change of route, or wear pants and hope it’s not absolutely roasting like today! 😂
Gorgeous day for it and super quiet everywhere apart from the Monsal Trail (standard).
Classic MTB loop, but starting from Calton Lees means saving the best for first. Steady gravel then moorland climb takes you to the top of Chatsworth, followed by a section of nice woodland & the super fun descent down to the River Wye just South of Bakewell.
