Commute home from Uni

Nice chilled ride home. Making the most of it not raining! Lots of mud about, and lots hub deep puddles on Green Lane in Godley Green. Next time I must remember to try the other route through Brookfield to cut them out!

Local loop on the hardtail

Nice to be out. Half of it I was in the right bike. Half of it I definitely needed the big bike with mud tyres! Completely forgot how much of a mud bath the Roman Lakes area gets after rain 🤦🏻‍♂️

Kinder Surprise

Gorgeous day for a ride back on the big girl pimping her fresh rubber. The Mota’s are incredible. A proper mud and slop tyre. Didn’t let go once. Roll pretty quick on tarmac as well. Very impressed with them. I would probably prefer a slightly wider tyre on the front. 2.35 are a little too small for my liking but they were remarkably decent! 👌🏻 Lovely ride. Nice views. Lots of mud! 🤟🏻

Derbyshire Mountain Bike

Not the ride I had planned. But a combination of leaving late, not having lights with me, and my back playing up meant I aborted it to make sure I wasn’t caught out. Just about made it back without the need for lights. The Barzo and Mezcal combination continue to surprise me, they only let up on the real sloppy bogfest that is Chinley Churn. Still going to swap them out for a more suitable winter combination of a Mazza and Martello.
