Summer is almost here, and it’s becoming hot and humid. There are hundreds of runners and walkers on the promenade—young and old, Hebrew and Arabic speakers, tourists, men, and women (some very beautiful women). It's a perfect cross-section of secular Israeli society. I am always unduly surprised that I don't run into anyone I know out here; as if Israel …
