It was 32c in Kakopetria, and 19c at the start of the run. A different climate and flora. A few rain drop fell during the first part of the run.
The Arthemis trail signes are designed for hiking clock wise.

A nice trail. The church of Saint Nicholas of the Roof has amazing frescos from the 11th up to 16th centuries. You cannot photograph inside, so no pictures here. You can skip the nearby waterfall, the trail down is not an official trail and is kind of slippery. Back at Kakopteria I recommend the local

We decided to rest today, and not wake up early. I wanted to have an easy relaxed run. No alarm clock. I woke up at 7:00 AM, ready at 7:30. It's hot. My body is tired and heavy. I ate too much yesterday. l'm old. No preplanned route. I force myself out of the door and start to run. I'm slow, no elegance

Wow! Ein Namer this year is an experience you don't want to miss. At the end of April, the area around Arad experienced a once in a decade rainstorm that caused heavy flooding through Wadi Ze'elim. It completely filled Ein Namer and washed out the entire wadi.
We were almost entirely alone on the trail

There are hundreds of runners and walkers on the promenade—young and old, Hebrew and Arabic speakers, tourists, men, and women (some very beautiful women). It's a perfect cross-section of secular Israeli society. I am always unduly surprised that

This is the 9th memorial run to commemorate the many people who died during the long exodus of Jews from Ethiopia on their journey to Israel through Sudan. The run is organized by the community every year and includes a blessing by the Kes, as well as a short story from a person who went through the

The Volcano run is always great fun. I did the longer 33 km run a few years ago. Tamar did the shorter 6.5km run, and this year they added a 15km hike option.
The GPS was jammed, so no real recording of the route. The Golan is now safe, and eager for visitors and tourist. The northern Galilee region is

Ashkelon has the sea, ancient history and a lot of potential. It seems that an effort is done to improve: new neighberhoods are built with decent architecture, wide roads with bike and hiking lanes, and a new echo park. But the sea side promenade is full of garbge. The marina is depressing. The problem
