If you do the loop this way, it'll probably be easier.
I had about 4 liters of water with me; 5 would have been better.
The last 7 km are asphalt and maybe some private gravel roads.
If you're coming from Stavros, I'd suggest going to the ruins and the small bay and then back the same way...prettier, more …
