Tannheimer Valley

Highlight • Gorge

The Tannheimer Hochtal valley fulfils (almost) all the wishes that a cyclist could have for a tour in the mountains. Unfortunately, it is not an insider tip. 😉 Great region, beautiful, will stay in your memory, recommended!

The Vils valley is a wonderful place: green meadows, small villages and the mountains in the background. However, remember that you are on a designated hiking trail, the Way of St. James Tyrol - Allgäu.

June 18, 2022,🌟 Radtour von Grän nach Unterjoch und am Ende kreuz und quer 🤪
Sometimes it's good when something doesn't work right away. Our goal was actually a mountain inn in Rehbach, but that has now been converted into a wellness hotel. In search of a place to stop for refreshments, we then discovered the beautiful and previously unknown bike route to Unterjoch.

Today 1st day in the Tannheimer Tal. First a look at what is possible here by bike. First-class cycle paths. Some beautiful hiking tours are also possible. 🤓😉

Wonderful tour from the hotel "...liebes Rot-Flüh" through the Tannheimer Tal with a detour from Tannheim to the Visalpsee, then back to the hotel.

Today we drove to Grän in the Tannheim Valley.

From there we rode on the right-hand side along the signposted cycle paths to the Unterjoch turn-off. Great wide, tarred paths.

From here we went back on the same side, but along the unsignposted high-altitude path - we can only recommend it - to Tannheim. Here too, everything is tarred, and …

This varied and scenic tour was, for us, the most beautiful bike ride in the Tannheimer Valley so far. It takes us along very well-maintained bike paths and quiet country roads through forests, fields, alpine meadows, and villages, offering stunning views.
