Krumme Lanke, what an interesting name, is located in the Berlin district of "Steglitz-Zehlendorf". The lake got its name from its curved shape.
This lake belongs to the Grunewald lake chain and is max. 7 m deep. In the north, it is connected to the Grunewaldsee via the Fenngraben, and in the south, via the Wolfsschluchtkanaal, to the Schlachtensee.

As part of the Iron Lake Challenge Berlin, I circled the Krumme Lanke lake today.

The forest playground is absolutely brilliant, nice and big. Children can romp around and not get a bump on their head straight away, because it's spacious and the play equipment is made of wood.
