Still well-filled from the previous day's 'Erdschweinessen', we set off at 11:00 am at a leisurely pace for a short city tour through Loket.

Over a wonderfully swinging bridge, we crossed the Eger river and headed into well-wooded areas towards Dvory, where we took a short break.

What a beautiful day!

It started at 09:15 on a frosty early morning in Loket, not far from the castle. The sun was shining and almost 70 good-humored hikers set off.

Hiking buddy Kurt was also there. 😉



Always walking along the Eger and through beautiful forest sections, most had chatted animatedly. But



My second time participating in a Nord-Marsch event took me to Ratzeburg in Schleswig-Holstein. This event was organized for the third time by Nord-Marsch and Dein Ostseeweg. Three routes were offered: 15 km around Küchensee, 28 km around Ratzeburger See, and



On my way to Ratzeburg in Schleswig-Holstein, I stopped in Neustadt-Glewe. This town in the Ludwigslust-Parchim district of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania is home to Lake Neustadt.



This 129-hectare lake was formed by post-glacial subsidence (leaching of the subsoil



Lake Klinger is located in the Spree-Neiße district of Lower Lusatia.



It is a remnant of the Jänschwalde open-cast lignite mine.



Although a feeder channel is under construction on the western side of the lake, it is currently fed exclusively by groundwater and



The Cottbus East Lake belongs to the city of Cottbus and, to the north, to the Spree-Neiße district.

The lake was filled with water from the Spree River between 2019



Lake Gräbendorf is located in the Oberspreewald-Lausitz district of the state of Brandenburg.



This lake is a remnant of the former Gräbendorf open-cast lignite mine, which operated from 1984 to 1992. The villages of Gräbendorf and Laasdorf were completely destroyed



Lake Schwielowsee is located in the Potsdam-Mittelmark district of the state of Brandenburg and is part of a chain of large lakes in the middle Havel River. It is a shallow glacial lake with a maximum depth of 9 meters.
