From the Christo Rei statue, it's about 200 steps down to the Ponta da Garajau viewpoint. Those who descend are rewarded with a beautiful view. If you want, you can take the Telefèrico de Christo Rei cable car from the statue to the Praia do Garajau beach. There is also a small restaurant and a diving base on the beach.
