Argostoli is the vibrant capital of the Greek island of Kefalonia and serves as the island's cultural and economic center. Located on a deep bay, the city is known for its blend of modern flair and traditional character, having been almost entirely rebuilt after the devastating earthquake of 1953.

One of the highlights is observing loggerhead sea turtles, which can often be seen in the morning right at the harbor basin near the fishing boats.

The longest stone bridge over the sea in the world connects Argostoli to the opposite shore of the Koutavos Lagoon, offering a picturesque walking path.
