You can start anywhere. If you start in Kautenbach, then you get some 58 km uphill, including some relaxing up and downs in the middle, before reaching Tunnel Huldange (cyclist sculpture).

The reward comes afterwards with almost 40 km downhill - a real feat! (just disregard the 2-3 little bumps towards the end)
