Natural Swimming Pond in Gais

Highlight • Lake

The perfect place to cool off after a long tour. The pond is completely chlorine free and also free of charge. It couldn't be better! The bathing pond is accessible from the beginning of June to the end of August.

Unfortunately, this nice view over Sand in Taufers is located right on the side of the road. We then continued to Taufers Castle or in the opposite direction to the Reichenbach Waterfalls.

June 27, 2025,Reinbach-Wasserfälle bei Bruneck
.....this year's cycling weekend begins with a departure shortly before 7:00 a.m. by car to our accommodation in Reischach near Bruneck, South Tyrol. Upon arrival, we embark on a short introductory bike ride to the Reinbach Waterfalls. A leisurely introductory tour without much elevation gain. Nevertheless, a very nice ride away from busy roads.

From the Tures toll booth, avoid passing on the path made by me.
The path is narrow and with roots and rocks emerging... you proceed on foot or take the route down before arriving at the castle 🏰 to go to the Riva waterfalls. 🌊

Cycling is prohibited at the Reinbach waterfall. We walked up there. But it's worth it and it's free.

On the way home we drove through Stegen twice because we turned back to visit the Kirchtag-Hock.

Small detour via Bruneck to the Reinbach Falls.
If you go to the waterfalls you should also see all 3. The highest is the most beautiful.

At the beginning and end the forest paths were difficult to pass in places. Otherwise a very nice route.

Return from Mühlen in Taufers on Talbodenweg with ups and downs on difficult trails
(small sliding passages) to Neuhaus Castle in Gais;
Continue on the flowing trail on the Maurachweg to St.Georgen;
Beach in St. Georgen;
Back on bike path.

Beautiful route with well signposted cycle path. Outward journey from Brunico to Castel Tures on a flat track, from here begins a climb on asphalt and then moves on to the classic land along the river that gives its name to the valley. On the way back I recommend a visit to the 3 Riva waterfalls, an enchanting and very …

Today Visit to the center of Brunico and the Austro-Hungarian cemetery, a war cemetery located in a wooded area, on the slope of the so-called Kühbergl, near the road that leads to Riscone.
It was built on the orders of the Germans by Russian prisoners, and was inaugurated on July 3, 1915. 🕯️🪦
the cemetery in fact houses 793 fallen …
