Hey Komootler, there is a railway cycle path near Syracuse that is quite interesting. You almost always have a clear view of the sea. The little excursion is recommended.

An Aida cruise ship docked in the night and spat hordes of tourists into the city. But the bike path was reached quickly and offered a nice surprise: the EV7 is a real bike path north of Syracuse on a former railway line. Very relaxed cycling!
