Following my disappointing asphalt walk along the Kesselse towpath, @🇧🇪 Herwig Aertbeliën suggested this walk to me a while ago, which runs partly through the Kesselse heath. Since the rain seemed to hold off for a while and the spot isn't too far from my home, I decided to tick off the hike today.

Today with this beautiful weather we took a walk, departing from the beautiful Fort of Kessel in the direction of the provincial domain Kessel Heide to continue walking towards the Steenbeemden along the Kleine Nete (what a muddy affair there) to return from there towards the Fort. How good can a nice winter sun do a person!
