New Town Hall (Nowy Ratusz), Gdańsk

Highlight • Historical Site

The New Town Hall in Gdańsk is an impressive building in the neo-Renaissance style, located at Wały Jagiellońskie. It was built at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries as the seat of the Prussian garrison command. Currently, it houses the Gdańsk City Council and serves a representative function, including weddings. Interestingly, in the past, the famous Coastal Students' Club "Żak" operated here. The building, together with the adjacent park and the former stable, is entered in the register of historical monuments.

T-34 Tank Monument, Gdańsk

Highlight • Monument

In the direction of Gdynia, you can go straight through Gdansk Wrzeszcz then you bypass the section leading along the beach which is equally interesting because we can visit other districts, e.g. Oliwa with a park and the cathedral

War School in Gdańsk

Highlight • Historical Site

The school was established in the building of the former barracks of the pioneers (sappers) battalion, whose unit was deployed to Królewiec in 1890. The education included officer courses leading to obtaining an officer license and further training courses for officers. The basic course lasted 35 weeks and included theoretical and practical classes. At the same time, over 100 people were studying. The school had a riding arena, a horse riding ground, and an indoor exercise and fencing hall. The university existed until 1919, when it was liquidated due to the demilitarization of the Free City of Gdańsk. 3.5 thousand graduates graduated from the school.
