Genkeltalsperre Lakeside Trail

Highlight (Segment) • Trail

The gravel road around the Genkeltalsperre has driven fast, due to its winding course, recommended, but also slowly through the surrounding forest a delight.

Genkel Reservoir

Highlight • Lake

If you don't just love asphalt and if you also like to drive on non-asphalted paths, you can only suggest going around the reservoir (approx. 10km). Again and again there are beautiful views of the lake.

Very nice, chilled tour which is also suitable for trekking bikes up to a total of ¼. Paths that were difficult to drive on a few weeks ago have been fixed.

At a crisp 2°+ a dam round with the bio bike around the Agger and Genkel dams, with a peninsula and Bruch outdoor pool. Very sad to see how broken the forests and paths are.
Greetings to Dominik Polo 🤘🏻 both of them solo today (must be) and still met 2x 😉

A wonderful tour around both lakes of the Aggertalsperre and the Genkeltalsperre with great bike paths, a lot on wide forest paths.. A great experience with my son on a normal bike without an "E" in the wonderfully colorful autumn forest. Hardly any steep climbs along the entire route, except for the last 2 km on the country road to …

Nice tour. Around. Two Lake District. Have fun and beautiful. Time. Without stress

3 x circular dam trails: Parked at the probably abandoned Waldhotel above the Bruchtalsperre, it is initially easy to drive on good trails. Over to the Genkeltalsperre it goes down between km 5.3 and km 6.7 over partly quite muddy truck tracks (due to wood removal). Here you need a good feeling for your bike with a hopefully suitable terrain …

Go somewhere else. You can do that.

Drive to Marienheide by car. Park the car. Let's go, by bike towards Dannenberg, down to the Genkel dam and then once around the Agger dam.

Snack bar on the Agger, where they also serve coffee and cake. We opted for a waffle with cherries and cream. Unfortunately, there is no photo evidence.
