Mountain bike tour on old church pathsStart in Schalksmühle Heedfeld (below the ALDI) past Altenhülscheid and Dornbusch, right downhill towards Rölveder Mühle, when you arrive in the valley right, uphill towards Albringwerde.Shortly before Albringwerde turn right again and continue uphill to the hiking board (the paint is also off) in the parking lot. Continue to Winkeln, in the village right towards Brenscheider Mühle. Another 1.2 km before the Brenscheider Mühle turn right into the Mesekendahler Bach valley and on to the game reserve.Passing the game reserve, it goes up to the main road (L692) that leads from the motorway towards Wibblingwerde.Arrived at the parking lot on the L692, we drive down towards the motorway (A45). After 800 meters, just before the roundabout, turn right, past the commuter parking lot, then under the motorway bridge and on to the Sterbeck valley. Uphill towards Altenhülscheid and on to the starting point of the tour.Conclusion.Short mountain bike tour, up & down with 450 meters of altitude and many beautiful views. Sometimes there is even a bit of that Black Forest feeling.A couple of times it goes steeply downhill over loose ground, then it is better if you have already done something like this and twice we cross the Sterbeck brook. There are refreshment stops at the Brenscheider Mühle, to do this you have to leave the tour after 6.7 km and turn left rather than right. After just 1.3 km you come to the Brenscheider mill. But you can also stay on the route and come to the Mesekendahl game reserve after 8 km.

When a route becomes a tour. Only a small one, however.Just to the pharmacy, there are shorter ways but they are not nicer.I drive from Heedfeld, past the Spormecke, Ramsloh and Harrenscheid. Through Linscheid, Dahlhausen and Dahlhauser Kopf into the valley to Schalksmühle. Through the roundabout and on over the Volmebrücke to the pharmacy.Go back through the town center, past Bruno's ice cream parlor, the town hall and then right onto the Volmestarße (B54). Exactly after one kilometer I turn left into the valley of the small Klagebach. Up to Lauenscheid and on to Heedfeld.
      Back home !

We did it again - but differentThe Oberbergisches is beautiful and at the dams, we like it particularly well. Especially when the weather is as nice as now in June. And that is exactly why we are starting a tour again in Kreuzberg today. We have two things in mind.1. Drive a few different ways than last time.2. At the end of the tour coffee and cake in the “Cafe19Zwolf”.From Kreuzberg we drive a short way to the Neyetalsperre. Along the south bank, it goes to the dam. Via Oberröttencheid and the small, beautiful trail to the Bever dam.We circle the Bever as far as possible, as on our last tour. We stop again on the west bank and cool off. After a short break, it continues. First on the forest path on Beverufer and then a bit on asphalt. At kilometer 14.4 we turn right and after another 200 meters right onto a path that leads us to the forest path above Müllensiepen.Along the forest path and past the campsite, we drive over a small dam and then left. After 300 meters on the right, single uphill!Once refused, I could still take the root step, but my Caroline refused on the tree trunk behind it.
      My bike is called Caroline!

Exactly. If the duck can't swim. Then it's the water!
Once at the top, we cross the asphalt road and follow a path that leads through the jungle to the left of the road in our direction of travel. After 600 meters we turn left, after another 50 meters immediately left again and further down to the Neye dam.At the Neye dam we turn left again and follow the riverside path to the inlet and another 300 meters and then left steeply uphill.Singletrial, Uphil Flow at its finest or, as I say, just before the heart.Once at the top, we walk a little further on a meadow path, the sun burns and gives us the rest.Have a drink first! We follow the asphalt road for 400 meters and then drive left through Niederschevelingen, a really beautiful world, over a meadow path, through the forest, 200 meters above a root trial that lives up to its name, down to the Schevelingen dam.Once around the Schevelinger and over the next uphill flow back to Kreuzberg.Another 1,700 meters and we are sitting in front of the "Cafe19Zwolf".Coffee and cake please! Conclusion: Unfortunately we forgot our photo machine and snapped photos with the smartphone, which is annoying and goes to the bag. What the hell, we didn't let the fun take us away. However, the photo yield is significantly lower today. We started in Kreuzberg around 12 and we were back sometime after 3 p.m.We took a long break on the Bever today and Claudia took a long bath.We have achieved our two goals. We did fantastic trials and we got delicious coffee and cake.Believe it or not. We really enjoy mountain biking here. The landscape is so beautiful and the paths along the water take forever. At the Neye and the Schevelinger dam you always have the water right next to you, that's special and Kreuzberg is the ideal starting point for our tours.Life can be so beautiful!Regards CL + Kroschi

Motivated by the tours and beautiful photos of Bj and Engel, we drove to Kreuzberg in Oberberg. The car parked at the church, the bikes unloaded and off you go.First to the Schevelingen dam, we descend a few meters and dive into the Bergische jungle for the first time.We reached the first dam after 2 km, we drive over the barrier wall and on to the Neyetalsperre. We drive along the south bank of the Neye to the barrier wall. We cross the barrier wall and then turn left towards the Bevertalsperre. In Oberröttenscheid we come across Egener Straße, we turn left and after 200 meters right onto a meadow center. We follow the trial up to the dam at the Bevertalsperre. We take a break at the Beverau dam. We have corona coffee in our backpack! We continue over the dam to the north. In Mickenhagen we turn right and after 200 meters left again into the jungle.Another 700 meters and we are at the Bevertalsperre, on the water! We follow the riverside path a little and stop at a point where we can drive to the water.Claudia couldn't resist - into the floods. Then we are further along the Bever and then turn right at 15.5 km.After 500 meters, at Müllensiepen, we turn right across a courtyard onto a forest path. We follow the forest path to Kleinhöhfeld. In Kleinhöhfeld we accidentally go the wrong way, after 600 meters we are at the Beverufer, unfortunately we can't go any further, we go back and take the other way.Better, we drive past the “Im Kellerchen” campsite and then turn right over asphalt towards the Neyetalsperre. After 23 km we drive to the Neyetalsperre, past a barrier and follow the forest path down to the bank.We keep left and follow the Neye Uferweg to kilometer 29, then we turn right and left again and then, after 400 meters on the right a steep uphill, back to Kreuzberg. Tour over.We would have gladly replenished the calories consumed in the Cafe19Zeven, but unfortunately all the seats outside were filled. The next time !Our summary of the tour. Great landscape, great paths and everything is easy to ride on the E-MTB. But that doesn't mean that you can only use one hand on the handlebar.Have fun in Oberbergisches and all the best

On two cappuccinos to Lennekai! If you want to go on an E-MTB tour from Schalksmühle-Heedfeld to Altena, you've come to the right place. It starts at the ALDI car park, past Hülscheid, Altenhülscheid and via Camilla’s variant to the motorway bridge near Winkeln.Continue towards the game reserve Mesekendahl and Großendrehscheid.Through the back door we come to Großendrehscheid, then we turn left and after 12 km right, downhill towards Altena. No, there is no sign, you have to pay attention to Komoot. On broad forest roads it goes down and then back to the left, along the slope to the castle view, past a lonely house that is not yet finished, we roll to Altena. The last 80 m of ascent and the last kilometer of asphalt are not particularly attractive but you cannot have everything.Once in Altena we drive over the Lenne bridge to the Lennekai. You can linger well on the Lenneterrassen and quickly find some nice entertainment.Oh yes, almost forgotten. The service at Lennekai is very friendly and visually particularly nice to look at.Okay, someday it will go back even if we would have liked to stay. We drive briefly down the river to the roundabout, then towards Nachroth and after 500 meters left into the Brachtenbecke. But be careful, the entrance to the small trail that leads uphill to the left behind the houses was quickly overlooked. After a short drive we leave the trail, continue uphill on asphalt, then drive straight ahead onto the "iLo Emilia Uphill" and come to Großendrehscheid a second time.A kilometer behind Großendrehscheid, we turn left again briefly onto a forest path, but after a further kilometer we meet Lüdenscheider Straße again. We drive down and follow the Lüdenscheider Straße over the roundabout, the motorway bridge and then drive right over the Römerweg into the industrial area.Pass the golf course and follow the Komoot instructions for the last two kilometers through Heedfeld to the ALDI car park, the starting point of the tour. How long have you been on the road?It depends on how long you stay at Lennekai but after three hours everything can be over again. Conclusion: Shortly after the start in Heedfeld and shortly after the break in Altena things get steep, otherwise everything is relatively easy to drive. The OffRoad sections are all pretty unspectacular except for three smaller streams that have to be crossed. But it's like in real life, for some it is too easy for others. We think the tour from Heedfeld to Altena with the E-MTB, you can definitely recommend it.Greetings and all the best

My highlight tour starts below the church in Schalksmühle Heedfeld. Offroad to the Spormeke, then take the “cyclists free” path to Harrenscheid. From there via Mary's downhill to Klagebachstrasse. Direction Lustencheider mill, shortly before the Lauencheider mill left on Charlotte’s Trail to the Spormecke via Hülscheid to Heedfeld. via Ella’s Trail to Altenhülscheid. Briefly across the street and via Harper’s Way to Kamp. Back towards Altenhülscheid, before Dornbusch left via Camilla’s route through the Sterbecker valley to the Sterbecke. Uphill back through Heedfeld to the church. Tour over.
Just a little more than 14 km but also a little more than 400 m. If you do three laps, you have really done something with the e-bike!
All the best - see you!
