What a nice route, past all the windmills, two windmills are still in operation. You can look inside and have a drink. There is also a tour boat, you have to buy a ticket if you want. There is also a toilet at the mills. Tip, go early, after 12 o'clock in the afternoon it gets very busy.

Today, everything about our walk felt incredibly Dutch, truly Dutch. Cows in the meadows, sheep along the ditch, water everywhere, and of course, the iconic windmills of Kinderdijk. From our first steps along the historic Tiendweg, we felt part of a centuries-old story of water and land.

What a great route I walked today. A piece of heritage in the mist. First a piece of unpaved path along 2 mills that were not on the tourist route and then along the other mills. Because of the mist it was extra special to see a new mill appear every time.
