A very beautiful, sometimes quite steep path connects the Pizolhütte and the Wildsee. It is part of the well-known 5-lake hike and is accordingly well frequented.

Much more of a quieter spot, like the one at the Wildseelugge. It's not as crowded here.

Ascent to the Pizol summit (2,844 m)

Highlight (Segment) • Summit

From pizolsattel to the summit there are only 50 vertical meters. Unnecessary ballast and sticks either pack together or deposit. It goes the last few meters completely on a wire rope system upwards. 1-2 exposed but otherwise hardly exposed.

As expected, there were unfortunately a lot of people, the blue and white section was better, but there was also a well-trodden path with lots of loose rubble, helmet recommended! Turned around just before the saddle because it was getting quite difficult and I didn't want to carry the dog around the whole time 😉

Hello hiking friends. Today I only had enough time for a short hike. I was a bit short on time. My goal was the summit of the Pizol. However, I had to turn back half an hour before reaching the summit, otherwise I wouldn't have made the last cable car ride down. I didn't want to take any risks. I …

The start was full of vigor in Wangs, with the gondola and 2x chairlift up to the Pizolhütte from there we continued on foot to the actual destination

We weren't completely alone, but the crowds were surprisingly limited 🙏. The small summit plateau was too crowded for us, so we turned around and followed the ridge path, which was now almost deserted, as most people preferred the winter descent, …
