View of Ernst and the Moselle Loop

Highlight • Viewpoint

The Moselle Valley is as beautiful as advertised. Near Valwig, the elevation difference becomes apparent – on the left, it's a real hill, while on the right, it slopes down to a flat landscape.

In the palm cauldron, there are two rest areas, which invite you to linger. From the one you have a view towards Bruttig, from the other towards Valwig & Cochem.

A very nice tour, but not to be underestimated, especially the way back through the vineyards

Next to the Calmont via ferrata, this tour is quite challenging.

It's on timbers and involves a lot of ups and downs. Definitely avoid hot days.

The heat is scorching and very strenuous.

The Breva Trail is truly challenging, and good, well-treaded footwear is a must. Slippery slate slopes require a good level of fitness.

Not suitable for beginners.

The most beautiful tour on the Moselle that I have hiked so far.

Sometimes less is more ... but that wasn't possible today 😅. I had to take so many pictures, although you can never really depict the feeling anyway. That was probably the greatest outdoor activity I've ever done😍😍😍! First I went up part of Tour No. 18 of the Moselsteig between Beilstein and Cochem 🥵 and then back via "BREVA Wein …

Surefootedness is essential. Basic athleticism is a must.

I just say woooow😍💕
The Rhine last Monday was already a highlight, but today really topped it.
And that's right on your doorstep...
We parked at the Bruttiger Bridge. From there it goes steadily uphill through the vineyards for a good 2 km in the direction of Valwig. Fantastic vantage points on the Moselle. Later over the Valwigerberg ridge and …

Small tour to wake up. Only really walk the Breva path if you are sure-footed. Some very narrow and sloping paths and overgrown with thorn hedges.

Showing Translation

The Breva is not for people who are afraid of heights and have no hiking experience!
There can also be falling rocks, so take care!
