There are two rest areas in a small, evergreen boxwood forest on the Palmberg above a bare slate heap (Scharfe Lay). One looks to Valwig, the other to Bruttig-Fankel.
You can reach the rest areas either via the BREVA path or by descending the "Iron Mast".
