August 12, 2025,View of the pirate bay – Water point loop from El Pueblo
The closed part on LP1 is easy to walk around. Looks like the roadworks will be over soon. The climb back up is challenging with few places to rest. Make sure you have enough water for the entire trip.
Today I changed the island side. Serpentine route without end 😅 and I can drive as if I had never done anything else ... yes, and therefore a mini tour today, BUT, I would not have done it otherwise. A wonderful bathing bay, you didn't expect it after the long descent. Absolutely recommended 👍 .... and of course up again …

A tour that is not that far in terms of distance, but which was quite exhausting because of the steep ascents and descents. We didn't even have sun all the time, which was an advantage because it can be very hot on the mountain. We had done the tour before, albeit in a clockwise direction. This time we wanted to …

Our first walk of our La Palma trip was a tough one. With almost 900 meters of altitude, the walk from Tirajafe to the inlet of El Poris with its famous houses was quite a challenge. The weather was already beautiful with a light breeze and about 22 degrees. But during the climb through the Barranco Jurado (from sea level …

Great but exhausting tour, take enough water and food with you. It's only 11 km, but it goes down, up, down, up. We were out for almost 7 hours taking photos and doing a geocache.

Important information about the route between the beach "Playa del Jorado" and the pirate bay there is a mountain. It's going up here. There is no path along the coast. Also, Playa might be a bit of an exaggeration. There are many big stones on this beach.

Showing Translation

It's a good thing that it was so cloudy today🌥, this tour is not recommended in warm/hot sunny weather. It goes through 2-3 barrancos, Playa del Jurado and the Pirate Gorge/Cueva de Candelaria.
You definitely need to be sure-footed and not afraid of heights, or at least not afraid of heights.
We started just before Tijarafe. Since the road there …

The tour is actually a must, but not without it. You should be sure-footed, fit and not afraid of heights.
But then nothing stands in the way of the great views, the adventurous paths and the odd surprise.
