What a great walk around the lake, I've done a few before, but this is one of the most beautiful walks I've ever done!!!😍😍😍If you're in the area, be sure to include it!!!!!

Today's itinerary included a trip to the beautiful Schnalstal Valley. The drive took us all the way up to the Vernagt Reservoir 🚗💨. In fantastic weather—sunny, warm, and clear skies 🌞🌄—we walked all the way around the lake 🥾🌊. The route offered spectacular views of the shimmering turquoise water and the surrounding mountains 🏔️✨.

It is a very nice, relaxed hike. The trail also leads through the forest and is uneven. I would recommend sturdy shoes and hiking poles.
There were problems with parking (beginning of August 2024) because the large parking lot in the village is a construction site. But you can park easily below the dam, quite far back.

A walk around a lake is actually a boring thing. However, around Lake Vernagt there are beautiful paths, tough climbs, two suspension bridges and, if you want, a high ropes course. If you want, you can throw yourself into the depths with a rope.
Definitely worth a trip!
