We took the bus to the fishing village of Camara de Lobos, named after the monk seals that were abundant there at the time – and where Churchill once painted.
It's a tranquil, yet very touristy place that has more to offer than just the restaurants and cafés at the harbor.

Our first village was Camara de Lobos, which, at over 600 years old, is one of the oldest villages on Madeira.
In addition to a very beautiful harbor, it also has a beautifully landscaped park and, of course, a magnificent view of the Atlantic.
